  3. People need to be louder and more clear during the begining scene and make sure the bell doesnt play over the guitar

  4. I think all of y’all could be a little bit louder!! Besides Colin he’s loud lol. Y’all are all putting in good work! Let’s make these last rehearsals count!!❤️

  5. I know we can pull it together. There are many things that we need to work on as a whole. Our diction and volume come out to be sloppy and I know that with focus we can fix these issues. We know what we are supposed to be doing and it will only take a bit of effort to achieve our goal of advancing. I don't want to be dropped at area because I think we can do so much more than what we are giving right now. I hope we can pull it together and continue on to show the judges what we are capable of.

  6. I think we are on the right track for success. I believe we have worked so hard on the changes in the show and I truly think it is going to benefit us. we need to remember all the changes we have made and make them work for the show. All the freezes need to be more crisp and perfect. We all need to freeze on the right time especially on Eli's line "I lied." Y'all need to either come in sooner or freeze in a pose when you are coming in. Connecting with our characters before the show is definitely going to benefit is before we compete. When we are getting hair and makeup down, start thinking about your characters emotion and how they feel at the moment; start thinking about the emotions you are going to have in each scene. I think Kyle gave us great advice about us saying our lines differently and trying something new each time, so it feels as if we are doing it for the first time. We have worked a lot this week and hard, but we need to stay focused and remember that each time we perform it needs to be the best performance we ever had. Diction and being louder is the key to them understanding us!! I love each and every one of you! I BELIEVE WE CAN DO THIS!!!

  7. This was our last rehearsal before area so all we can really do now is pray and remember all of the things y’all have worked on. No waves. In a box. Accent but not to heavy. Talk loud. Talk outward not back at the wall. Remember you spots (the X Colin). I will also work hard to remember my Q’s and dynamics.

  8. I think everyone could be a bit louder and annunciate your lines. However, i think the play has improved tremendously. Everyone keep up the good work!

  9. Every single one of us has the potential to make this play great but everyone has to step up at once and give it our all, together. We can do this. I, for one, don’t want to get knocked out at area because of accents when y’all worked so hard. A couple of you still need to lighten up on the accents a tiny bit and everyone needs to make sure they stay in accent (and the correct accent. Someone told me it sounded Scottish sometimes during the school performance.) We don’t need to lose the momentum going into this competition. We don’t need to lose our edge. Keep pushing. Give it your all. 110%. All the way. We can do this.

  11. A big critique Mrs. Griffis has was that of it being too “sing-song”y, which is caused when we all start to sound the same. We hear each each other’s tempos and cadences and we pick up on them, making everyone sound alike. It also makes the play look stale because we say the lines the same way each time. Think about other ways to say them. Change the pace of a line. Put inflection on a different word. Think about a new meaning behind a line. Find a way to change what you do and say so each time it’s like your character is saying it for the first time. This mixed with diction will bring a breath of fresh air to our show.

  12. I think we need to make sure, during official practice, that we can be understood by the audience. We need to adapt to everything the first day we are on stage. I really don’t know what else to say that hasn’t already been said, but I do feel we always need to remind ourselves of our diction, volume, and movements on stage. We need to remember our changes to the show and be awake, ready to go the second we get to the stage, until the second we get off. Perhaps we could even exclusively speak in accent until the official show is over, just food for thought.

  13. a big thing we have to work on with area tomorrow is diction. there’s really no reason for us to get eliminated because they still cannot understand us. the auditorium echos so we have to be extra loud, slow down, and hit the consonants. i know we’ve worked very hard on our new adjustments to continue to make our play fresh. the creativity is still flowing and we need to execute better than ever tomorrow. we need to make sure to be in the zone & get in character as soon as we can,, i think the lack of that contributed to our performance last contest. we for sure need to practice on our own tonight & improve in personal ways. area leads to regionals, which is a big deal and we shouldn’t be taking it lightly. just work tonight & be ready to go in the morning!!

  14. Yes diction will be our key tomorrow. However, so is keeping things fresh. Change up your lines the way you say your lines, change the highs and lows. This will add a new appeal to the play a fresher and less rehearsed appeal. We also need to focus on making each noise in each word hit the back of the auditorium. Think of it as almost pushing air through your diaphragm. You should flex within each consonant. Tomorrow we just need to wake up a character, and be ready to go. Yes we should have fun tomorrow, but tomorrow should be a day for success and working hard. Come tomorrow be prepared to work. We don’t need to be messing around when there things to do that could benefit us. Let’s go guys!!! come up tomorrow and give it your all and put everything into this play. Just think about this, this could be the last time we could do this play. would you like to end on this note?

  15. Be understandable because the auditorium isn’t the best in the world and our show won’t be fully shown unless they can hear us
