Town, we all need to stop being robots and be our own people
ReplyDeleteFebruary 5th- Everyone needs to work hard and the towns people don't need to be so stiff. We need to stay focus and work on accents. Keep on working hard and stay focused during our practices and it will show in our performances.;))
ReplyDeleteFeb 4th: Good job guys, y'all should be louder and work at accents still though. Also, the lights have to be a little "sharper", so that in the couple scenes the attention is on the people and empty space alightened is not confusing the viewers.
ReplyDeleteFeb. 5: we need to know our ques for leaving and getting on stage. Last night we were off on that, and we need to act more like real people and learn our lines.
ReplyDeleteFebruary 5th. The energy in the play is dead. we need to spice it up a bit. and like perry said, we need to put a purpose to our scenes.
ReplyDeleteFeb. 4th- It is really good for us to run through the entire play without stopping because it forces us to stay in character all 40 minutes and gives an opportunity to nail down everything we work on when we go scene by scene. We need to try and do this as much as possible because it brings to light everything we need to work on. Our freezes need to be worked on: how we go into and come out of freezes and when we’re going to freeze throughout the show. This was a big problem last night that I know can be fixed with some work.
ReplyDeleteFeb 5-We need to work on individualizing our characters. The town looks too scripted. I think we need to think about what make a list of the things we can do, and get creative. Make it spontaneous yet not a mistake. We tend to clump together, so we need to decide if there are too many people on stage at some points or maybe we could organize different entrances throughout the same scene. That could also contribute to individualization in our characters.
ReplyDeleteFebruary 5th/// at this point, everyone still needs to work on their MASTER GESTURE. We still all look like the same person. Everyone needs to learn who their character is and start living them so we can show more diversity on stage.
ReplyDeleteFeb 5. I need to work on not being Maverick but rather being a priest in front of my church and a friend to Moises. I also need to change the feeling in my voice.
ReplyDeletefeb 5: i think as a town we really need to develop our characters so we’re not all the same. we need to work on putting emotion into our lines to captivate the audience. continue reading scripts & analyzing our story so we can bring this play to its full potential!
ReplyDeleteI think as a town we need to sit down and Difirencate our caracters and body language. And also how we feel and react as each person to each thing. Also we need to work on the first scene and transitions. I think the best thing for us right now is just running through the play consistently and throughly.
ReplyDeleteFeb 5: Running through the entire play was very beneficial even though we didn’t have everyone there. It forced y’all to stay in character and pay attention to what’s happening. I fixed my lights and rearranged some things so transitions should be better on my part.
ReplyDeletefeb 5th- i think we should spend time focusing on the town and developing their characters to differentiate them from one another. the ensemble is very important to our play and could use more dimension
ReplyDeleteI think the video helped a lot. I know that I need to be bigger with my actions and my lines. I am going to start trying new things, saying my lines different, just see if there is something new and better out there. I think the town looked good, but we couldnt hear you. We can hear you on stage but you can see in the video that we can't here your people noises. That goes for everyone too. DO NOT whisper people noises.
ReplyDeleteEverything needs work but I think we can do it. We just need to keep pushing and continuing on. We need so much work and polishing but if we buckle down we can get it done. We need to be done with the playing around and giving only half way. We gotta get it together. All of us.
